Still just hang'in out

Again, nothing too terribly exciting going on around here! We had a nice quiet weekend, spent some time with my parents on Sunday after church, we had a fun time with them. The kids were gone, but we enjoyed going to their games on Saturday, except for Madison, she has been sick since Friday night! She stayed home again today from school, she is definetly on the mend though! We are looking forward to papa from Tennessee(a.k.a Brian's dad) coming out for a visit. He will get here on Wednesday night and leave on Sunday night, we will be busy spending as much time as we can with him over the next couple of days! So, just some pictures taken over the last couple of days.....

A serious game of Texas Hold'em!(By the way that is not, I repeat NOT Jim Baron sitting there playing....he doesn't do that!)

Looks like I'm "up" a little...must be the Red Bull!

Hmmmm...Looks like he may be a little jealous of my stack!

HA HA HA!! She tried to "stack" the deck and got busted!

Miss Madi home sick again on Tuesday, she felt well enough to play some computer games though!

Daisy got a boo boo, and was such a big girl about putting an ice pack on it!

Just a couple of scrapes on her face....

Just hangin out....

It's been a very quiet week for us. I have pretty much stayed at home every day this week, hanging out. The days still seem to go by so fast, I thought they just did because I thought I had to be on the go all the time! So with our somewhat boring week I don't have anything spectacular to post....just life as it is, or at least as it was today! Hope everyone is looking forward to a great weekend!

Daisy talking jibberish to her Monster's Inc. movie.

She was so busy intently watching the movie

She did take a moment out of her busy schedule to pose for a picture with her mama(notice how she still has her eyes on her movie!).

She also took a moment to get into the cereal....her favorite Lucky Charms, she only eats the marshmellows, remember doing that?!!

And tonight she helped herself to the Crunchy Corn Bran....by the way, she likes cereal! It helps that its the only cupboard she has full access to!

This is my moment of relaxation...this is what makes it all worth it! The girls pamper me a little bit, Kelsey does my hair(I finally have enough hair to actually brush and put hair accessories in!), while Madison massages my back, and Daisy pretends to put hairspray in my hair and help the girls....I love it!

I never said I looked any better after the whole ordeal!!

What else do you do with these?

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. We had a wonderful weekend hanging out with our kids. Nothing too much out of the ordinary to tell about. I was, however, looking through my pictures yesterday that I have downloaded over the last month and came to realize I have some pretty funny, goofy, random pictures collected. So I thought, "what shall I do with these?" Well, guess what my conclusion was.....yes, I thought I will just dedicate a blog in which all that visit can also enjoy these pictures! I am sure some of you would have rathered me just delete them, but I couldn't...sorry! So heres to a random blog of random pictures!

O.K. It looks like I need to clear something up before you go on.....I DID NOT photoshop any of these pictures! The "stuff" on the teeth is real....it really is cake, I know it's weird, but it was just one of those crazy moments!

This was at Madi's birthday party....ummmm....that is ice cream cake on their teeth, don't ask...

I don't know what to say about this one...other than you have to be pretty "special" to pull a face like that!

Need I say anything? They were taking pictures of themselves, and it seems the majority of the pictures I have of Brian he is pulling some crazy face!

Just to back up what I said previously....can we say WEIRD?!!

Hey Kelsey! How about you smile?!!

No Madi! I want to see your teeth!

Just one of Jake's interesting "faces" they always seem to come out when the camera is out....HMMMM...like father like son...maybe?

Not real sure what I was thinking.....clever? maybe not!

More cute than anything...I had to throw it in!

Sorry you two...I couldn't resist!(they don't get out much and really liked the cake)

O.K. you may say weird.....I deserve it! I put this scarf over my head and pretended to be an elephant, so then Jake decided to put the other end on his head and...well...there we are, just being goofy!

Daisy girl....you crack me up!

So this morning, Daisy spilled some water by the coffee table. I told her to go and get a towel from the kitchen to wipe up the mess. So off she went....and back she came.....with toilet paper! She drug it from the bathroom into the living room. Brian and I split a gut laughing....we just let her dab the water with the toilet paper and then instructed her to bring the strand back to the bathroom and throw it away.....it was quite cute!

Cleaning up the mess....

On her way back to the bathroom with the toilet paper.

Busy stuffing the excessive amount of toilet paper into the garbage!

So that wasn't all....A little later Daisy and I were upstairs getting ready for the day. We were in my bathroom and I was busy putting my makeup on. She was sitting on the floor getting into a cupboard. I was fully aware of what was going on, and I just let her be, for once she wasn't fighting me for my attention. She had gotten into, well you'll see, ummmmm....we'll just say my "personal" items. She unwrapped one, I saw that, managed to get the backing off, I saw that too, and well the pictures tell the rest of the story. Trust me I did not help with this, it is a reminder that she does watch everything we do....I must be careful!

It's been pretty low key...

I was going strong there with posts day after day, then the weekend came and I had to remind myself that I did not have to do a posting every single day, so I thought I would take the weekend off. I am finding now, that it's Tuesday, and we haven't seen our kids since Friday, so we have very little excitement to tell about. I guess what ever I do, I best have my camera with me so I can post on here. We did have an enjoyable weekend. My mom, bless her heart, took Daisy for us so that Brian and I could get away for the evening, something that rarely happens. I did not take my camera, but we did have a nice time together,(you'll just have to trust me on this one!). We stayed the night at The Silver Reef Casino and Hotel...it was lovely! Other than that, things have been pretty quiet. So I thought I would post some pictures, they are recent, but are pre blogging days.....thats o.k., right bloggers?! Hope everyone is doing well!

Our Family

I love this picture....just because

World's Next Top Model....

This is Chad and Trina...totally meant for each other, hence why they are getting married in July.... I tried to find a "normal" picture, this is as close as I got!

Miss blue eyed Daisy

Since I spoke of a lovely evening with my hubby, I thought I'd throw this one in the mix!

The last party...for now!

WHEW!! I think I can finally relax just a bit. After the holidays, things just don't slow down for our family. On December 31, we ring in the New Year with a celebration of Kelsey's life, this year she turned 9. About 2 1/2 weeks later, we are celebrating Madison's 7th birthday. Her birthday is today, we celebrated last night. We had lots of fun with family and friends. The girls had a skating party last weekend with their friends. So for me, I take a big sigh of relief because I made it through another time of year that is full of celebration and can say proudly that I managed to pull it off! Now I sit back and reflect on the fact that Kelsey and Madison are getting older, and I must admit, this is NOT easy for me, it brings tears to my eyes, simply because I have no idea where the time has gone and as fun as it is to see them grow, I really wish I could keep them young!

Happy Birthday Madison!

Big brother, Jake, was right by her side helping her to read the cards and open the gifts....what a sweet boy!

Daisy seemed to enjoy her piece of cake!

Apparently her daddy enjoyed it, too! HA!

A little hot cocoa, a little snow, and we are good to go!

Alright so the snow is here again and the kids are out of school...again. So they played in it yesterday when it wasn't quite as cold as it is today. Hope everyone is surviving, enjoy the beauty of the sun shining from the indoors today...it is COLD!!

This is for our Tennessean family...nothing like enjoying a cup of hot cocoa out of a team spirit mug, while reading "Hello Smokey!"

SNOW ANGELS!

Thankfully Amy and Kali gave Daisy this cute hat for Christmas, it has come in handy and has kept her little head warm!

"WHOA! That snow ball almost hit me in the face..I'm gonna get 'em!" says Brian

Basketball x's 3

Basketball season is officially here for our family. The kids absolutely love it, it does entail a very busy schedule for us adults. Our weeks look like this. Tuesday nights are Kelsey's practice in which Brian is coaching her team, Thursday nights are Jake's practices, Friday nights are Madison's practice, and on Saturday they all have games, Jake in the A.M., Kelsey mid afternoon, and Madison late afternoon. It wouldn't be as bad if they were all in the same location, but they practice and play games all at different locations around town! So here are some pictures of them from last week, even the little one got out there!

Check out that tongue!!

O.K. I feel kinda bad, no one was able to make it to her practice, so there were no action shots of her, this is at Madison's practice....
