Bath 'n Burn

I wanted to get this post up before MAY hits us tomorrow! I can't believe it. I just hope the weather starts shaping up a little bit. So the first "nice" spring day we had here in our county my family spent the day at the ball fields. What, it was about 3 weeks ago, I think. Never thought to pull out sun screen, until Daisy and Brian got completely fried! Kelsey, Madi, and myself don't burn like Brian and Daisy, we are blessed with a bit of indian blood. Jake was in full uniform....sweating, so he neither burned or tanned. Anyways, Daisy's burn lasted for quite sometime, in fact, she still looks a little rosy. So I took some pictures of her after we got home in the bath tub. If nothing else, they will be fun to look back on!

Cows with Cool Names!!

So my Dad and Mom have a little mini farm and they raise low line cows(to check that out further click on link on side)and right now is the season for all the calves to be born. So within the last two weeks 3 female calves were birthed and the lucky scutterbugs inherited the names of our girls! So the first born became Kelsey, the second Madi, and the third Daisy! I guess they figured since Jake has a restaurant named after him, the least they could do was name some cows after the girls...hehe!! Even so, as soon as a male is born they will be sure to name him Jake.
So we took a little visit to the ol' homestead and checked out the namesakes of the girls!

The little flower in our lives!

I have missed a couple of postings over the last month, so I thought I would just combine the pictures I have collected and put them into one slide show! Just so happens they all have to do with Daisy! She was the only child around for Easter, so I don't want to jip her of the fun she had with her friends Charlie and Baylor! Disco Fever!!

The girls enjoyed a "Father/Daughter" skating date on Tuesday evening with Brian! Thanks to our awesome church who put together a 70's themed skating event at our local roller rink in town. I had so many laughs watching Brian get ready, I bought him some ever so sweet polyester pants and the original shirt I almost insisted he wear was such a hoot! This isn't the one in this picture....but just wait till I post those! The girls looked so cute...so grown up too. They had so much fun! More to come in the photo area of this evening...they're too funny to keep to myself!

Happy Birthday Jakey!!!

Jakey Poag turns 10 today!! Happy Birthday big boy! We had a fun time celebrating on Wednesday night with our family. By the looks on Jake's face he was ever so delighted with his gifts. We love this boy so much. He is so handsome and full of love for every one in his family and we are so grateful to be on the receiving end of his kindness. We always look so forward to the time we can spend with him. It's so hard to believe he is ten already....and and have I mentioned his incredible athletic ability?!! He can shoot a ball, hit a ball, throw a ball, and kick a ball like none other! Jakey, we wish you the happiest birthday, we are so proud of you, and even though we can't be with you today we are thinking of you just the same! We love you!!!
