Happy Birthday Brian!!

Someone had a Birthday!! We celebrated Brian's 37th Birthday on Thursday....it's o.k that I mention the age, as most of you already know how "old" he was because of my email and attempt to get 37 phone calls in to him that day! While I am on that subject, I would like to thank those of you that responded and called....I know he appreciated it and heard from some people he hadn't talked to in some time....although many of the calls ended up in messages because his battery died. Anyways, once again we had a nice time together as a family. Brian and I and the kids went to Milt's Pizza and then my Mom and Dad and Chad and Trina came over for Ice Cream Cake from DQ. We love you Brian and hope for many more "Happy" Birthdays for you!!!

Before he opened the gift.....and after he opened the gift.

Can you tell what's different in the picture?

Fun on the farm!

This day was very much needed.....I'm sure those that live where I do, would agree! The rain has been relentless! So it was a great day to get up and go to church and then head out to my mom and dad's lil mini farm! The sunny, somewhat spring-like weather went well with the new life that we enjoyed watching prance around the field! Norman, is his name, and quite the cute lil calf I might add! It was a very relaxing day, fun to see our 2 year old dominate the animals and have absolutely no fear! In fact, these cows know that she will feed them these alfalfa cubes, so when they see her, they swarm her for their treats, and she has no apprehension on sticking her little hand to their mouths and feeding em....it's CRAZY!!
It was indeed, a great day spent with a great family, enjoying God's AWESOME creation! Enjoy the pictures....

Busy, BEAUTIFUL day!

What a beautiful day! Busy....but beautiful! I had Daisy at the doctors office at 8:20 this morning, got back in time to take her to my mom's and be in Madison's classroom at 10:30 to help with "centers" until 11:45, I had to be to work at noon to wait tables, go back out to my mom's to pick up Daisy, then back to the school to pick up the girls, went home long enough to pick up a little and take a walk around the block with the girls, left again to go out to dinner with my hubby and Daisy to El Ranchito, back home, put kids to bed, and now I'm sitting on the couch in my comfy clothes, relaxing!! WHEWWW!!! I love days like today....I probably wouldn't if it was like that everyday, but I enjoy the busyness on occasion.
Anyways, thank you for your support, encouragement and prayers as far as Daisy goes. She had a pretty good appointment today. Brian and I will be meeting with her doctor again without her in a couple of weeks to talk more specifically about her behavioral issues. She will also be going to Children's to get a hearing evaluation done. We have to make the trip down there simply because of her age and Children' has the proper equipment to get accurate testing done. She will also have an appointment at St. Joseph's Children's Nuerology(sp?) Clinic to assess where she is developmentally. These are all just ways of ruling out any problems. Hopefully, before then she will wake up one day and repeat every word I say to her and all of this will be diagnosed as stubbornness!! So thanks again....as her doctor said....keep praying! He is a super neat Christian man, who is not afraid of sharing his faith...in this way we are very blessed to have such a great doctor for her!

On our walk around the block!

Happy Birthday Daisy!

And WHY do they have to grow up?!! I am still dealing, without being too dramatic, with the shock that my baby that I JUST had is now 2 years old!! Someone PLEASE tell me where the time has gone!!! I believe Daisy had a great birthday....she got some very nice things, and we had a nice party for her last night. Papa and Granny from Tennessee got her the trike, and we gave that to her on Sunday. If the pictures don't say it all.....she loved it! I could have posted 20 pictures of her enjoying this gift, she could hardly contain herself! The rest of the pictures are from our gathering on Monday night, in which she had a ball being the center of attention. She was excited about her gifts and oddly enjoyed pretending like she was reading all the cards. Thank you family for sharing this time with us. One last thing, Daisy has her 2 year check up tomorrow. She still is not talking, her vocabulary consists of maybe five words, I know this will be an issue again tomorrow as it was already at 18 months. We chose to not do testing in the last six months, we felt strongly that she was still young and we would see where she would be at 2. We sadly haven't made any progress. Without too much worry we know it will be necessary to look further into what might be causing her delay. Daisy's behavior is also a challenge for us, quite possibly this could be linked to her inability to communicate. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek to do what's best for Daisy!!

Still kickin!

This is tougher than I thought! So I think I have figured out that I am not a "daily" blogger and maybe not even a weekly one. I enjoy it, it's just remembering to use the camera often and then sitting down to create a blog. So, we are still alive, I haven't given up on the blogging world or anything, but I have been a little bit busier outside of being at home. I have been taking up a shift or two at the restaurant the last couple of weeks and I love it! Not only that, but taking pictures of sick kids isn't all that fun....the 3 girls have been or are sick! I took Kelsey to the doc on Monday and she had bronchitis and an ear infection, and of course the other two have to follow suit! We will be celebrating lil Daisy's 2nd birthday on Sunday.....yes it's hard to believe, but true! We will actually be having a party with the family on Monday when we have all the kids back here with us. So I am sure I will have some fun posts after that! Hope everyone is doing well and Have a Great Weekend!!
