Just because...

Well this posting is a "just because I haven't posted in awhile" posting! Had a nice weekend and everything seems to be going pretty good for the most part. Looking forward to having the kids around this week and weekend. They will be on "mid-winter" break starting Wednesday. Speaking of Wednesday, my parents are also celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary.....I am so blessed to have such wonderful parents, we love the time we spend with them and are so grateful for everything they mean to each of us! Congrats Mom and Dad...you are amazing and we love you so much! So here are some random pictures that I took over the last couple of days, mostly of Daisy as she was an only child this weekend and she did get some new duds. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Who's ready for bed? I am I am!!

Who has really blue eyes? I do I do!!

"Crabby but Cute" I had to get this shirt, as I spotted it at Old Navy, Daisy was being really "crabby", it seemed too fitting!

Madison, bless her heart, gave me a little TLC tonight. When she was done with this do, she said,"You look like fashion, Mom." Not so sure about that sweetheart!!

Daisy had the pleasure of yanking the hair ties out of my hair....paybacks, I guess! As you can tell I wasn't enjoying that so much!!

Tae Bo Time!

Kelsey called for an all family Tae Bo session on Thursday night. HA HA!! Thats what I did....LAUGHED!! But everyone was gamed, so I went along with it, even though I had already done a 45 min Tae Bo video earlier in the day. I knew exactly what was going to happen....I had already attempted this with the kids on a previous day and the girls stuck with it, but Jake, he was hilarious, he was a big goof off! He "couldn't do it"!! He reminded me, at the time, of how his dad would act if put in front of the T.V. to do this. So here was my chance to prove my suspicions......and correct they were! Brian lasted about 2 minutes and within those 2 minutes he did nothing but act like a weirdo....Jake thought he was hilarious, of course. So needless to say the "family" Tae Bo time turned into the girls getting a great work out and Jake coming and going as he found energy to do so! I must say....on a personal note.....Tae Bo ROCKS! I am a huge fan....it really does the job.....if you know what I mean!!

Valentine's Day

The kid's had a wonderful, love filled day. I guess any day for a child that includes receiving gifts is going to be a good day! Thanks papa and grannie for sending the package full of wonderful treats, it was fun decorating the table for the kids with everything you sent. Hope everyone enjoyed their day!

Almost two...going number two!!

It's hard to believe she is almost two! It's even harder to believe that she went "number two" on the toilet! Can you really train a toddler who has not yet started talking to use the toilet? Thats the question I keep asking myself! I sure as heck am gonna try! She loves it! Well anyways, thought it was pretty cute, certainly no pressure as to feeling like she needs to do this.....but it never hurts to get started!

JUMP!!

Another quiet week around here. The kids are all doing well, they had a good week at school. Daisy is still a little under the weather, hopefully the next couple of days she will be over this nasty bug. Brian has put in a lot of time at the restaurant this week. And, I have just been doing my norm. I am having a baby shower at my house on Sunday, so I have spent a little time planning that. We had all the kids together on Thursday after school, so I got the camera out and took some shots of them playing outside. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Jake, in his finest of forms.....

Kelsey, in action....

Madi....she's a little squirt, but man can she jump!!

So she can't jump like the others, but she sure knows how to get in their way on her car!

Special time with papa!

Well...Now I guess I have to break my pattern of saying, "nothing too terribly exciting has been going on!" We said goodbye to PaPa from Tennessee tonight after spending 4 days with him. There are always tears that come with our goodbyes, it's never easy knowing you won't be seeing someone you love for some time, it's always hard on the kids, they love the time spent with him and so do we! Luckily, he and Grannie and cousin/niece Delaney will be back the end of June for a week! We had a nice time with him, we stayed busy, and as always he spoiled us rotten. The kids were treated to Build-a-Bear workshop and all got a new personalized stuffed animal. We enjoyed some of Brian's famous ribs for the Superbowl.......WooHoo COLTS, way to go!! I realized on my last blog, I wrote Tuesday, that I thought Madison was on the mend. She ended up missing the entire week of school, towards the end, I wondered if it had anything to do with papa being here! She was sick, it was nice that she had some extra special time with him, though. Unfortunately, Miss Daisy got hit hard with the bug on Friday. It was actually kinda scary, as she was running a 105 fever, she still isn't well, but doing a lot better. So papa got to see all sides of her...I guess you can appreciate that when you live away, as he does. I didn't get as many pictures as I had hoped to, but here are a few of our last couple days enjoying some time with a very loved, father and papa! Thanks for the visit PaPa, we love you!!

Daisy and Papa....

Where's Daisy? papa's fun game with her.

KISSES!

This is NOT something she does regularly, she was a very sick lil girl, papa sure loved it!
